President’s Message

Welcome to the 2011– 2012 Chapter Year. It’s going to be a great year!! I ask that you make this your best year ever for involvement with CT PRIMA. Renew your membership, attend chapter meetings, take the time to give input to a Board member or serve as a Board member, check out our website at ctprima.org, extend an invitation to co-workers to attend a meeting with you - the possibilities are endless!! Our membership is not only municipal risk management professionals, but many other private sector professionals, so please take advantage and connect with our CT PRIMA family!!

This year we reached out to many business organizations that service the risk management needs of our Towns and Cities. We asked for financial support to pay for items such as website domain and update charges, to pay the mandatory annual dues for the chapter president to national PRIMA and to keep our annual dues and meeting costs as low as possible. We had six responses so please take a bow, H.D. Segur, Workers’ Compensation Trust, Belfor Property Restoration, USI, PMA and Rose Kallor. Without your support our chapter would not be able to survive.

Our Board is pleased to present our 2011/2012 luncheon meeting schedule:

January 11, 2012 – Joint meeting with the PPAC (Public Purchasing Association of CT) Risk Management Pitfalls to Municipal and Joint Purchasing Arrangements, Hawthorne Inn, Berlin.

March 14, 2012 – Legal Update-Attorneys Colette Griffin and Tom Gerarde, Howd and Ludorf, Dakota’s of Rocky Hill.

May 23, 2012 – Cyber Risks/Evolving Technology- How to reduce the associated liabilities, Brazi’s, New Haven.

September 14, 2012 - Annual Risk Management Day. Workers Compensation Panel, Cromwell Marriott.
